Lasagna



1 LB. sausage or ground beef or half and half
1 cloves garlic minced
1 T parsley flakes
1 T basil
1 ½ tsp salt
1 can whole tomatoes (2 cups)
2 6 oz. cans tomato paste

Cook all this together for 30 minutes uncovered

1 10oz. lasagna noodles (boil until tender)
3 cups cream style cottage cheese
2 tsp salt
½ tsp pepper
2 T parsley flakes
½ cup grated parmesan
MIX TOGETHER
1 lb. mozzarella cheese- sliced thin

Place in 13x9x2 baking dish. Layer ½ noodles, cottage cheese mixture, meat sauce, mozzarella cheese. Repeat.

Cook at 375 for 30 minutes. Let stand 10-15 minutes. 

Swedish Ham Balls


                         1 lb. ground ham
·       1 ½ lb ground pork
·       2 cups bread crumbs
·       2 eggs beaten
·       1 cup milk
Sauce:
·       1 cup brown sugar
·       1 t dry mustard
·       ½ cups vinegar                    (Mix/heat to dissolve sugar)
·       ½ cups water
 Mix together and shape into balls. Put in 9x13 pan. Pour sauce over top. 
Bake 325 for 45 minutes- turn over and bake 45 minutes longer.

Puffed Wheat Squares

2/3 c. margarine
     2 c. brown sugar
       1 c. white corn syrup
       4 T. Cocoa
Bring to a boil for 1 minute. Take off heat and add 1/2 bag marshmallows. Stir and
pour on 16 cups of puffed wheat. Pour onto greased cookie sheet.

Sweet and Sour Chicken

 3 lbs chicken breast sprinkle with 1 t. garlic salt and pepper
Beat 2 egg whites with 2 T water
Dip into 1 c flour or 1 cup starch
Brown in oil

SAUCE
¾ c sugar
 ½  c vinegar
  ½  c bouillon or pineapple juice
3-4 T Catsup
1 T soy sauce
Boil all together

Pour over chicken and bake at 325 for 1 hour. Double sauce for rice

Swiss Steak

INGREDIENTS       
6-8 Cube Steaks or round steak (the butcher will tenderize it for you).
·       1 cup flour
·       1/4 cup vegetable oil
·       salt and pepper
·       1 medium onion
·       1 can cream of mushroom soup
·        4 cans (small) tomato sauce

DIRECTIONS
Heat about a tablespoon ofoil in a skillet. Flour each steak and place in oil to brown slightly. Repeat for all the steaks. In a slow cooker combine Cream of mushroom soup and tomato sauce and chopped onion. Place steaks into soup mixture in the slow cooker and cook for 4-6 hours on high or until tender. Remove from cooker and the soup mixture will be the gravy for mashed potatoes or rice.
